DAVID WOODWARD BSc MA VetMB MRCVS
David qualified from Cambridge University in 1981 and joined the practice in 1989 as an assistant to Mr Tuckey, having previously worked in Staffordshire and Gloucestershire.
In 1993, he became Practice Principal, and has seen the surgery develop from a 1 1/2 vet mixed practice to the small animal practice it is today. David lives near Breedon on the Hill with Debbie and their two children Laura and Timothy.
They have 3 Labradors, Tunga, Elter and Ruskin and 2 cats, Ogi and Bobby.
JUSTINE LENZ BVet Med (Hons) PG Cert (SAM) MRCVS
Justine graduated from the Royal Veterinary College (University of London) in 2013. She worked in mixed practice in Leicestershire for a year before joining the practice in August 2014.
Justine enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and has a certificate in internal medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and baking and walking Oscar, her border collie.
JAMES WILLIAM ALEXANDER MA VetMB MRCVS
James has been working at Woodward's since December 2017. He qualified from Cambridge in 2016, and spent a short stint working in Lincolnshire in mixed practice. He has a keen interest in surgery, especially orthopaedics, and is currently undertaking further qualifications in this area. He lives with an exceptionally demanding one-eyed Siamese cat called Gus. He spends any cat-free time he has on a bike or running in preparation for triathlons.
DORIN GIOABA MRCVS
Dorin is originally from Sotu-Mare in Romania and graduated from USAMV Cluj-Napoca in 2013. He has worked in the UK since 2015 and started to work in small animal practices from 2017, joining the Woodwards team later that year.
At home Dorin has a rescue cat called Lara and enjoys Fishing in his spare time.
CHRISTINA KUHL BVMedSci BVMBVS PhD MRCVS
Christina completed a BVMedSci at the University of Nottingham in 2011, before intercalating to complete her PhD - ‘An investigation of pedigree dog breeding and ownership in the UK: experiences and opinions of veterinary surgeons, pedigree dog breeders and dog owners’ in 2015. In 2017 she completed her BVMBVS and joined the team at Woodward’s later that summer. Outside of work Christina enjoys spending with her family and her own pets. She has three dogs (Elsie, Digby and Murphy), two cats (Jasper and Luna) and four budgerigars (Bungle, Zippy, George and Jeffery).
GABBY MITCHELL BSc MRCVS
Gabby, originally from Edmonton, Canada, moved to England in 2005 as an engineer. She decided on a change of career and graduated from the University of Liverpool Vet School in 2015. She joined the Woodward team in August 2017 working part-time so she can also spend time with her young daughter. Gabby has a genuine interest in first opinion small animal practice. At home she has a delightful cat named Olive, a gorgeous dog named Brad, and three chickens named Rita, Martha and Nugget.
SAM BARTON BVet Med (Hons) MRCVS
Sam joined Woodward’s in June 2018 having worked in small animal practice since graduating from the Royal veterinary college in 2013.
He has a particular interest in cardiology and is undertaking a certificate to further his knowledge in this area.
He has a rescue border collie called Oscar.
ALICE CATTERICK BSc BVMBVS MRCVS
Alice graduated from the university of Nottingham in 2018 and joined our veterinary team shortly after.
She is interested in both medicine and surgery and has an old rescue dog called Tom.
