here!

Old Man of Coniston. > |

< In the wet conditions, Anne unfortunately
fell and damaged her bike. Luckily, she did more damage
to her top than to herself!
Thanks to a couple of other passing teams,
we managed to do some running repairs, and soon had
her back on track! > |

< After a brief stop to change out
of our wet clothes and have some lunch, we set out to
climb the Old Man of Coniston.
Windswept and interesting! > |
< As we got higher, the wind started
to get much stronger.
Until, almost at the top, it became a
real struggle to stay upright! > |
< Finally, we made it: the summit
of the Old Man of Coniston, 802m high.
On the way down it started to hail,
which soon became driving rain. Battling the strong
winds and soaking wet with the rain, we didn't stop
to take any photos!
